MACS Lift

Overview

The MACS lift is a short scar face lift technique initially developed in Europe. MACS stands for:

M – Minimal
A – Access
C – Cranial
S – Suspension

As you might guess from the name, because the technique requires minimal access to the underlying facial tissues, it is less invasive than a traditional face lift. However, the technique still allows Dr. Spence to achieve a significant amount of rejuvenation, tightening the underlying tissue so that it rests in a more youthful position.

Dr. Spence has been performing the MACS lift since 2004. This procedure has a much shorter recovery period than a traditional face lift in Orlando and is performed under local anesthesia. In fact, most patients who choose a MACS lift at Dr. Spence's plastic surgery practice schedule their procedure for a Thursday and are ready to return to work the next Monday.
