Meet Dr. Kenrick Spence
Dr. Spence was delighted to receive confirmation that he's succeeding in his mission in August, 2007, as the readers of Orlando Magazine voted him top Orlando plastic surgeon. In a fast-paced area like central Florida, where category award winners come and go, Dr. Spence was particularly honored to receive Orlando Magazine's top plastic surgeon award for the sixth consecutive year. "Our aim is the best possible outcome and a satisfied patient." Aesthetic plastic surgery offers all aspects of cosmetic surgery including: surgery of the face and body, lasers, fillers (e.g. JUVÉDERM®), BOTOX®, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. "Most patients have multiple needs; it is our job to meet those needs." Dr. Spence is fully trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as general surgery. He completed his medical education at the University of Connecticut, then spent five years as a General Surgery Resident, and one year as an attending physician in trauma and emergency medicine at St. Raphael's Hospital, an affiliate of the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Spence went on to complete an additional three years as a Resident in Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas. The American Cancer Society has recognized Dr. Spence for his commitment to the health of women in our community. He also volunteers his time and care to women who are victims of abuse. As a member of the Blocker-Lewis Plastic Surgery Society, he has received awards from the Government of El Salvador for medical missions he participates in to operate on children with birth defects. Continuing education is important to Dr. Spence as he regularly attends symposiums related to procedures he performs to incorporate the newest techniques in the fields of breast surgery, liposuction and other aspects of Plastic Surgery.
